Music

The Music program at Simonds is 100% funded through the SMTF. Without your financial support, our students wouldn’t be enriched with a well-rounded education that includes free weekly music instruction in each grade and yearly grade-level performances.

Simonds students will be learning and singing again this year with our unique music program

provided by Mrs. J from Rhythm and Moves.

EXTRACURRICULAR MUSIC PROGRAMs

SMTF works with several outside vendors to offer extra-curricular music programs that run September - May. For the 2018-19 school year, SMTF is proud to offer three optional programs: Choir, Strings, and Band.

There's no better way to start a day of learning than by singing with the Simonds' Superstars three mornings per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 8:00am - 8:45am. Simonds is pleased to have Choir Director, Karen Donnelly, from Starting Arts returning for another school year! Members of the choir will perform in the winter and spring choir performances (parents invited!) and at many other school events throughout the year (Carnival, Walkathon, Multicultural Fair, to name a few). This is a wonderful opportunity to enrich your child's education with music!
